Hi, I am Dan (Daniel) Dubbeld, and I am the senior Pastor of Riverside Christian Family Church.

Wendy & I were married on 8 March, 1997. We have 4 wonderful children, Renee (25/02/1999), Joshua (23/08/2001), Kiera (20/12/2005), and Natalie (30/12/2007).

I have a degree in Civil Engineering (Structural) from James Cook University in Townsville (1993 - 1996) and worked with a consulting engineering company in Townsville until Jan 2001 at which time I took on a full time ministry role with this church.

Riverside Christian family was a church that we were involved in planting in October 1999 and it has been a roller coaster ride ever since (I love roller coaster rides). Wendy & I both have roots in the Uniting Church where she grew up in Chartes Towers and I attended a small church in Malanda in my school days. The church RCF was planted out of, Praise Chapel, was originally a Uniting Church in Townsville until they moved to be a part of the Crosslink network of churches in Australia.

I a surprise twist, for us anyway, we felt strongly that God wanted us to stay non-denominational following our church plant, and build relationships and network with thebroader church in Townsville / Thuringowa. By mid 2008 we felt led by the Holy Spirt to join in with The Crosslink Christian Network and have a geater national perspective. We continue to work on different projects, and build relationship with different churches including the Salvation Army, AOG churches, Christian Outreach Churches, Crosslink churches, and other denominational and non-denominational churches, to reach our community and work together to bless others with the Good News of Jesus Christ.

I have always enjoyed working with youth and the community to bring hope, to build relationships, and provide a positive environment. I have worked as a SU chaplain in schools in our community including Thuringowa SHS, Rasmussen SS and Kelso SS, and have done so for over 4 years. I have recently (Jan 2007) resigned as a chaplain to work more closely in developing chaplains and building a greater team approach in our schools and for our community, and I believe that together, the churches of this city can make a significant impact in our world and our community - TOGETHER.

We are looking forward to new chapters in our lives as we concentrate on leading the church, helping people find their place in God's Kingdom and in this church family, encouraging, building better communication and providing greater input into our church and community. The challenges are amazing, and often seemingly impossible to overcome, but our God is one who calls, equips and enables when we follow Him and realise it is ultimately all about, and all for Him.

To understand more about what is going on in my head and the things God is doing in my life, check out by online journal (Blog).
