What type of Church/Denomination are you ?
One of the most common questions we get form people who have been associated with churches is 'what denomination are you a part of?' We are affiliated with a national network of churches in Australia called Crosslink Christian Network and locally we work closely alongside the denominational churches of Townsville / Thuringowa as a part of the city wide Church. Our people come from many different denominational backgrounds including charismatic, methodist, pentecostal and our style reflects a great mix of these. What should I wear?
Whatever you feel comfortable wearing! There is no dress code - but predominantly people wear smart casual clothing, and it is not uncommon to see people kick off their shoes and relax and enjoy being themselves.
What about my kids?
Our kids have a vital part in our weekly services. We incorporate a children's story, children's songs, and even occasionally a drama or presentation to link the theme the kids are working with. The children stay in the main meeting until just before the sermon is preached, when they are escorted out to be a part of our Sunday School program. This caters for primary school aged children through to 14 years old. There they enjoy craft, games, and activities related to the theme for the day. Our leaders are thoroughly screened and trained, all have current blue cards, and we are an organisation that cares about the safety and well being of children and use the childsafe risk management system to ensure we provide a safe and enjoyable environment.
What will I find in the meeting?
